INTERNATIONAL CHRISTMAS CARD CONTEST

Artists over the age of 18 are invited to the 2010 International Art Competition. A prize of $500.00 (USD) will be awarded in each of two categories:

1) "Police Navidad"
2) "Police on Earth"

Entries should reflect the spirit of the contest. Both categories are a play on popular iconic sentiments, "Feliz Navidad" (Merry Christmas in Spanish) and "Peace on Earth."
The 2010 contest colors those sentiments in a "law enforcement" theme to promote understanding of the benfits, public service, sacrifice, and security provided by all branches of law enforcement, worldwide.

RULES:

1) Entries must be oil, acrylic, or watercolor, and must be no smaller than 4"x6," and no larger than 11"x14". Entries may be shipped framed, matted, or rolled. Care should be taken in shipping to avoid damage by the postal services. Entries will be judged on originality, style, composition, technique, and consistency with theme.

2 ) Entries must be postmarked no later than September 1, 2010. Clearly label the back of art piece with Name, Address, Age, Phone Number, email address, and Category. You may include a brief bio, resume, or description of your entry.

3) All entries become the property of the Folk Art Guild of America. Entries will not be returned, however the Folk Art Guild of America will act as sole agent for the sale of entries. Artist will receive 80% of the sale price (USD) if entry is sold outright. If royalties apply, artist will receive 50% of all royalties. A signed release must accompany your entry.
